Was standing at Beehive sign, talking with some visitors, saw water spikes in an unexpected place and was slow to react, then realized it was NG erupting over the height of the Lion cone. Water also looked “thicker” than most of the minors I’ve seen. Ran over, but the eruption was already winding down. Boardwalk in front was soaked for about a 20 foot section. Cool part was that the visitors ran with me, including 5 kids in the under 10 category. The whole family was very excited to have seen an unusual eruption. I did not see anything like a steam phase, the eruption ended much like all the other minors.
