| Comments: | major eruption water phase lasted ~ 5 min. During the first several hours of the eruption the north vent seemed periodically to be somewhat choked. When this happened the south vent played for a few seconds throwing H20 30-40 ft in the air. During the eruption the upper gas vents were very evident. These are cold gas vents and were in strong evidence in most of the area above the north vent. 11:00P steam not under pressure. |
