23426 27 Aug 2022 @ 1327 27 Aug 2022 @ 1431 User34 Water levels in both Lakeshore and the side pool would drop after an eruption, further after strong minors but never out of sight, and the side pool would start superheated boiling to 1 to 1½ feet which would die down through the interval. The side pool's pencil vent would splash during Lakeshore's overflows/eruptions with a fun chugging sound. Often Lakeshore would push and get to overflow but then subside, usually 1-2 minutes before the next event. Once in my observation at least two of these pushes happened in a roe, causing that interval between events to be longer.
23425 27 Aug 2022 @ 1419 --- User34 Overflow, no eruption
23424 27 Aug 2022 @ 1410 --- User34 Overflow but no eruption
23423 27 Aug 2022 @ 1359 --- User34 Not sure whether to put this one down as an eruption or not, the splashing was playful but it barely overflowed
23422 27 Aug 2022 @ 1348 --- User34 Push to overflow but no eruption
23421 27 Aug 2022 @ 1345 --- User34 Came up to overflow but didn't erupt
23203 15 Aug 2022 @ 1545 --- steve Lakeshore is only a few inches underwater.
21768 05 Jun 2022 @ 2148 --- SantaFe108 Completely submerged under the lake water.
21289 15 May 2022 @ 1641 --- steve Tried to erupt but no luck
20188 28 Oct 2021 @ 1750 --- steve I left my watch and phone in the car but Lakeshore appears to still be erupting about every 4-5 minutes with heights of 1-2 feet. I only observed 3 eruptions.
19251 02 Sep 2021 @ 1740 --- Micah Kipple Full and Drain. Boil to 6"
19250 02 Sep 2021 @ 1730 --- Micah Kipple Filled and boiled 6-8" and drained without erupting.
19249 02 Sep 2021 @ 1725 --- Micah Kipple Filled and boiled to about 6" without erupting.
19248 02 Sep 2021 @ 1717 --- Micah Kipple Rise and overflow without erupting. Only a boil to about 3"
18827 04 Aug 2021 @ 1628 --- annelies8 Fill and drain. Definitely no eruption and there isn't really even overflow of the back vent, just a fill to near the rim.
18826 04 Aug 2021 @ 1624 --- annelies8 Fill and drain, really weak on the overflow compared to a few days ago
18798 02 Aug 2021 @ 1138 --- annelies8 Fill and drain
18797 02 Aug 2021 @ 1134 --- annelies8 Fill and drain. Per Micah's notes I don't think the last eruptions I logged on 7/25 were true eruptions. On this cycle the main (back right) vent overflowed much more water than the previous one. Again, both vents are bubbling strongly when low and quiet when in overflow (right vent) or at the rim (left vent).
18792 02 Aug 2021 @ 1129 --- annelies8 Fill and drain. Both vents fairly calm at peak of fill, otherwise bubbling strongly when the water level is lower.
18722 28 Jul 2021 @ 1717 --- Micah Kipple Overflowed and heavily upwelled. An attempted fill occurred at 1715, but winds have kicked up on the lake and waves are splashing cupfulls of water into the crater repeatedly.
18721 28 Jul 2021 @ 1710 --- Micah Kipple Filled and drained. No eruption but sizzling rim boil
18720 28 Jul 2021 @ 1704 --- Micah Kipple Fill and drain. No eruption. But heavy convection and a rim boil to 1" on North and South sides.
18719 28 Jul 2021 @ 1701 --- Micah Kipple Filled and drained. No eruption.
18718 28 Jul 2021 @ 1657 --- Micah Kipple Filled and drained. No eruption. But sizzling rim boil on South rim.
18717 28 Jul 2021 @ 1654 --- Micah Kipple Fill and drain. No eruption. Barely reached overflow. Fills are coming closer together and not dropping as low over time.
18716 28 Jul 2021 @ 1652 --- Micah Kipple Fill and drain. No eruption.
18715 28 Jul 2021 @ 1647 --- Micah Kipple Filled and drained. No eruption.
18714 28 Jul 2021 @ 1643 --- Micah Kipple Filled and drained. No eruption. Fill was accompanied by a sizzling rim boil on South side of Lakeshore's main (right back) vent.
18648 25 Jul 2021 @ 0640 25 Jul 2021 @ 0654 annelies8 Both vents are fully exposed out of the water. Cycle seems to be near constant boil in both vents and a slow fill, then a more vigorous boil that causes right vent to overflow/erupt, then both vents drain to ~8" below the rim. This cycle seems to be about 3-4 minutes long. Peak overflows observed at 06:43, 06:46, 06:49, 06:53, 06:57.
17245 29 May 2021 @ 0957 --- Graham Water lapping over the edge into Lakeshore. Water still cycling up and down in the vent. Pressure pool splashing continuously with only the biggest waves getting into it.
16470 28 Oct 2020 @ 1240 --- Janet Jones Nice splash from the small/right vent with an instant water drop and recovery within a second or two.
16469 28 Oct 2020 @ 1235 --- Janet Jones Had a nice splash from a lower water level in the small/right vent and the water dropped a bit lower, but was back seconds later to the 4-6" below rim top. Possibly an aborted eruption.
16468 28 Oct 2020 @ 1224 --- Janet Jones At 1222, there was a momentary pause in boiling in the small/right vent for 3-5 seconds. At this time the boiling in the large/right vent increased. At 1224, there was a rise in the water level, but no eruption or overflow occurred. This was followed by the normal drop in water levels seen after eruptions with boiling resuming within a minute as had been seen most of the hour I spent here.
16467 28 Oct 2020 @ 1213 --- Janet Jones Water rose, held momentarily and then drained, but no eruption, splash or even bubbles. Aborted eruption.
16466 28 Oct 2020 @ 1155 --- Janet Jones At 1154, the large/left vent erupted to 2 feet or slightly more. At 1155, water rose in both vents, but then just paused before dropping to the level seen after eruptions. Aborted eruption.
16372 08 Oct 2020 @ 1746 --- steve An attempt to erupt with no real splashing.
16371 08 Oct 2020 @ 1712 --- steve A rise in the main vent but no eruption
16370 08 Oct 2020 @ 1704 --- steve Another very weak attempt to erupt.
16369 08 Oct 2020 @ 1700 --- steve A very weak attempt to erupt.
13466 30 Aug 2019 @ 1339 --- steve Water rose with overflow but no eruption
13518 27 Aug 2019 @ 1349 27 Aug 2019 @ 1406 Janet Jones 1349 Walked up to Lakeshore Geyser in heavy overflow. No bubbling in larger vent until the water began to drop. No bubbles seen in smaller vent. | 1353 Overflow began. D< 1 minute. No bubbles or boiling in smaller vent, large vent stopped boiling during overflow, but vigorous boiling started on the boardwalk side of the vent as soon as the overflow stopped. | 1357 overflow began. D< 1 minute. No bubbles, just smooth overflow. | 1401 overflow began. D= 37 seconds. One bubble rose in the smaller vent. Left vent behaved as before with no boiling or bubbles during overflow, but boiling began the moment the water level dropped. | 1405 Overflow began. D= 27 seconds. No bubbles rising in smaller vent. | 1406 left the area.
13339 21 Aug 2019 @ 1140 --- Janet Jones Water level of the lake below Lakeshore, but waves could still potentially swamp it.
13080 06 Aug 2019 @ 1420 --- Janet Jones The fingerling fish are quite large in the larger vent - in other words: Lakeshore is still underwater.
12810 26 Jul 2019 @ 1530 --- nails Submerged below lake
11476 01 Jun 2019 @ 1449 --- Graham Lake water washing into the vent.
11252 15 May 2019 @ 1205 15 May 2019 @ 1218 steve Lakeshore was trying to erupt with minors about every 4-5 minutes but somewhat less than half resulted in an eruption. The others showed heaver overflow and some bubbling only.
9911 28 Aug 2018 @ 1520 28 Aug 2018 @ 1625 William Lakeshore continues to have minor eruptions of 6” to 18” with intervals between 4-6 minutes. Both vents are active and once reaching overflow drain between 4”-6” starting a new cycle. Largest minors occurred at 15:31, 15:55, 16:14 and 16:21.
9900 27 Aug 2018 @ 1605 --- Micah Kipple Lakeshore is cycling and very close to having bona-fide minors. Surges are reaching 1' at the peak of the cycle but it's erratic and varies in strength.
5904 07 Sep 2017 @ 1300 --- geysergaze 2-3 boils seen while kayaking. It was not doing this yesterday when checked!
4539 25 Jul 2017 @ 1857 --- JSJ Underwater.
4342 20 Jun 2017 @ 1215 --- Tara Under at least a foot of water.
4103 19 May 2017 @ 1755 --- Tara Completely submerged under lake.
4096 14 May 2017 @ 1040 --- Tara Submerged under lake level.
3742 03 Oct 2016 @ 1513 --- bhoppe Overflow without eruption.
3616 07 Sep 2016 @ 0953 07 Sep 2016 @ 1024 CrisG Both pools full and light bubbling from Pressure Pool at 0953. Receded to low pools and 12-18" splashing from Pressure Pool at 0955. 1000 both pools filled before receding to low pool with bubbling and light splashing in Pressure Pool at 1002. Water levels in both pools were relatively equal throughout observation. No bubbling or splashing from Lakeshore Geyser proper. 1005 Pressure Pool back to full with splashing along rim. 1006 receded again. 1007 rolling boils and splashing. 1008 calmer with light splashing, bubbling. 1009 full pool. 1010 receded again. 1012 full to overflow with splashing along rim. 1013 low pool splashing to 12-18" height began. 1019 filled to overflow with bubbling, quickly receded to low pool with splashing after about 30 sec. Splashes to about 1ft height. 1023 filled to overflow with bubbling, light splashing at rim. It then receded to low pool at 1024 and resumed splashing.
3401 01 Aug 2016 @ 1718 01 Aug 2016 @ 1910 JSJ Western vent had frequent periods of relatively calm, light roiling-boiling-spitting, and very low to low to moderately low erupting. Water level was higher during eastern vent's overflow events and minor eruption events. Thermal imaging (FLIR) of Lakeshore Geyser's two vents measured a maximum of 204° Fahrenheit.
3399 01 Aug 2016 @ 1842 --- JSJ Eastern vent - overflow event at 1842 and no eruption.
3398 01 Aug 2016 @ 1833 01 Aug 2016 @ 1836 JSJ Eastern vent - near-overflow event at 1833 and no eruption. Another near-overflow event at 1835 to 1836 with no eruption.
3396 01 Aug 2016 @ 1817 --- JSJ Eastern vent - overflow event at 1817 with no eruption.
3397 01 Aug 2016 @ 1803 01 Aug 2016 @ 1814 JSJ Eastern vent engaged in very low to low splashing from a low pool immediately following the 1802-1803 eruption. This continued to 1808, when a brief pause occurred. Resumed low pool low splashing at 1808 to 1811. Pool higher , with roiling and occasional low splashes at 1812. Resumed low pool low to very low splashing at 1812 to 1814.
3395 01 Aug 2016 @ 1757 --- JSJ Eastern vent - overflow event with no eruption at 1757 to 1758.
3394 01 Aug 2016 @ 1748 --- JSJ Overflow event from eastern vent at 1748 with no eruption.
3393 01 Aug 2016 @ 1737 --- JSJ Overflow event from eastern vent and no eruption.
3388 30 Jul 2016 @ 0915 --- bhoppe Superheated boiling and cycling in both vents. First observation of boiling in the main vent since May
3374 26 Jul 2016 @ 1530 --- bhoppe Wind and breeze caused lake water to cool both vents - no superheated boiling over the pressure pool this afternoon.
3373 26 Jul 2016 @ 0715 --- bhoppe With calm morning waters, there was a light trickle of lake water into the main vent. The pressure pool had nonstop superheated boiling 6-18" in height. Overflows occurred every 5-10 minutes.
3354 23 Jul 2016 @ 0950 --- bhoppe Pressure pool (large vent) is above water and lightly boiling when during overflows which are occurring every ~5 minutes. There is still a trickle of lake water overflowing into the main vent so it is not bubbling, but the water level rises in conjunction with the pressure pool.
2862 20 May 2016 @ 1931 --- bhoppe Waves flowing into main vent. Only boiling in the pressure pool.
2423 26 Sep 2015 @ 1241 --- WillBoekel fill and then drain

2416 24 Sep 2015 @ 1556 --- bhoppe overflow without eruption
2331 12 Sep 2015 @ 1759 --- bhoppe overflow
2332 12 Sep 2015 @ 1723 --- bhoppe overflow
2308 09 Sep 2015 @ 1431 --- Graham overflow
2307 09 Sep 2015 @ 1409 --- Graham overflow no eruption
2306 09 Sep 2015 @ 1400 --- Graham overflow but no eruption
2224 31 Aug 2015 @ 1100 --- bhoppe Main vent was observed to be boiling 6-12" high today with the feature doing temporary overflows. It was not boiling yesterday. I will check it out early this evening.
2079 10 Aug 2015 @ 1500 10 Aug 2015 @ 1520 bhoppe Observed overflows occurred 7-9 minutes apart. This change was apparent at least 3 days ago, today was the first chance I had to confirm that overflows were less frequent than the 4-5 minute overflow cycles of 2 weeks ago. Main vent was placid; it was only reflecting the water level change in the system. The pressure pool was boiling 1-2 feet high. Highest boils occurred 1-2 minutes after overflow was reached.
2012 03 Aug 2015 @ 1435 03 Aug 2015 @ 1440 bhoppe Watched 1 whole fill cycle and parts of other cycles from a distance. No boiling in main vent. Small hole in front of pressure pool reached heights of ~6" during peak overflow. Pressure pool reached 1-1.5 feet after peak overflow.
2004 01 Aug 2015 @ 1455 --- Tara Main vent was taking on more water from wave action. The one cycle I watched still had boiling to 1-2 feet in the pressure pool, but the main vent only overflowed, no bubbles.
2003 01 Aug 2015 @ 1255 01 Aug 2015 @ 1320 Tara Both vents cycling about every 3 minutes. Pressure pool would overflow briefly, then drop about 4 inches and boil to 1-2 feet. Main vent was taking in some water from small wave action, but cycled up to overflow with variable bubbling to as much as 4-6 inches. Low water level was about 3-4 inches below rim.
1994 30 Jul 2015 @ 2100 30 Jul 2015 @ 2205 bhoppe Not boiling. Calm pool with fill cycles reaching peak flow every 4-5 minutes.
1991 30 Jul 2015 @ 1100 --- bhoppe Ranger reported seeing Lakeshore boil from the main vent to 1-2 feet high. Choppy lake water had killed this activity by 1530.
1981 27 Jul 2015 @ 1430 27 Jul 2015 @ 1600 bhoppe Lakeshore is now exposed from the lake. The main vent only had an occasional small trickle flowing into it from the periodical wave. Currently cycling up and down on 4-5 minute cycles. At peak of the cycle, pressure pool will have boiling/splashing 1-1.5 feet high. No boiling from the main vent at this time.
1474 31 Oct 2014 @ 1013 31 Oct 2014 @ 1015 Janet Jones At 1013, the smaller vent on Lakeshore Geyser made a valiant effort to possibly erupt, with a few decent splashes. But at 1015 the water levels dropped to below overflow and the bubbling lessened (but didn't completely stop). The larger vent was splashing and rising up a foot or so on occasion as it has been doing since the water level of the lake dropped enough.
1423 25 Sep 2014 @ 0000 25 Sep 2014 @ 2359 Janet Jones Now showing about the same activity as seen last May.
