| Note: | 09/25/1971 Hurricane Vent has a line of 1 inch high bright yellow sulphur crystals being deposited from steam vents near the top NE edge of the Hurricane pit. In that the crystals are long, relatively separate from each other, and are in sharp contrast to the brownish purple soil below, I can honestly say that this is one of the most beautiful sights that I have seen in the basin all summer.
