Note: | 9/22/1992 - no time noted - Veteran majors every 1½ -2 hrs - minor is front back vent – major is back from side vent. Veteran was in constant play during the disturbance. Clarification of Ralph’s observations on Veteran: Minor eruption – top front (pool) vent – top to 5’-6’ sometimes pool partially fills. *major eruption = top to edge of sinter in back of main cone (25+ feet). Front to 2’3’ pool fills to top of fresh sinter. *side (to right as you face the feature) – splashes. It is having majors every 1½-2 hrs – mostly 1h20m to 1h48m, minors are every 11 to 20 minutes. |
