| Note: | 06/09/1964 - no time noted - Water level West vent of Steamboat about 6’ below top of rock. Major burst for about 3-5 seconds from West vent to height of 25 feet. Looked like it might go, but then suddenly dropped. It played in unison with East vent, starting shortly after first surge from East. The burst dropped the West vents water level a few feet. = 2:45 Steamboat commenced a major eruption. |
