Note:03/13/1973 Ledge The sharp thumping was again felt underfoot 28 feet away to the northeast near Jetsam Pool; no change was noted in the pool however. Second, about 3 or 4 minutes after the eruption began, the hole between the main (NW) vent and the second vent again was spraying water out around 20 feet. Third, the large south east vent while estimated to be playing in excess of 40 feet, had very little runoff into Jetsam Pool as compared to eruptions of previous years. But it did cause much erosion & several small mud slides from the bank above it, turning the water a rich orangish yellow.
