Introduction

Here you will find all the geyser eruption and observation data that make up the GeyserTimes database. The data are gzip compressed tab-separated files. Eruption times are in the Unix epoch format. Archive files are updated nightly.

These files contain every entry in the GeyserTimes database. They are designed with the researcher in mind and not necessarily for human readability. Column names should be self-explanatory for those familiar with geyser terminology in the glossary. For convenience, the GT Primary ID is included to allow researchers to easily reduce the dataset to individual eruptions by only using those entries where the Primary ID is the same as the Eruption ID.

If you're a developer interested in real-time data, you'll probably want to use the GeyserTimes API.

The data is publicly available under the Open Source Database License. Use of the data for published research should attribute GeyserTimes.
