Should be 1962-11-16 for consistency. From RoND: “A second major eruption of Steamboat Geyser this year, (the first occurred August 27), occurred during the night of November 15. In the morning of November 16 Steamboat was found to be in a violent roaring steam phase with a vapor column rising more than a thousand feet above it. Muddy ice covered trees in a path over 100 feet wide extending 425, plus or minus 25, feet in a direction N. 70° W. from the Geyser. By November 27 water had risen in the crater and Steamboat is once again playing in its normal manner.”
