Comments:AMAZING ERUPTION! It reached 35-40 feet by the time Grotto started, then started to decline to 10-20 feet. Around 1620 South Grotto Fountain restarted and Grotto Fountain began to resurge with explosive bursts instead of a pulsing jet. It grew and grew until around 1624 when it was easily reaching 50-60 feet and started roaring like it was trying to go to steam phase. Afterwards Grotto Fountain died down in its normal fashion.
