| Comments: | "F&M erupted Dec 31 1997 at 1303 while I was there working on electronics. The eruption was 35 min. after a L. Mortar Minor. No Pause. Both Mortar and Fan were very strong. Fan went about 15 feet further than the far edge of the ‘Norris’ pool crater. There is a recorder set to record Lower Mortar eruptions. I downloaded it Dec 30 1997. I usually make a backup of the data file as soon as it is downloaded. But I didn’t this time because the computer battery was about to fail. When I got back to the Snowlodge the data file had vanished and I could not find it with undelete or any other method. This is the first data file I’ve lost after downloading. So the moral is." |
