| Comments: | Detailed notes on pg. A-56. He speculates on pg. 6: "The rejuvenation appears to be the result of a drop in the level of the Firehole below the lip of the crack around the base of Fan's mound. The renewed activity of Fan stimulated the usual follow-up activity of Spiteful, and the lowering of the water level in the pit across the trail. The other small vents around Mortar were also seen in action a few times. The vent across the river is still inactive and can hardly be found." |
