Comments:From a Bryan (April 1977) report: "At about 1800 on the 26th, Link had a minor eruption. The entire volume of the crater was involved in a violent, superheated boiling. Frequent jets of water shot up to at least 10 feet. At times the water bulged and the boiling became even more violent, resembling the initial throes of a major eruption. But after 10 minutes the activity subsided. Overflow was heavy enough to tear up some small algae mats along the runoff channel paralleling the paved trail. The effect on the Chain Lakes was about the same and [sic] that caused by North Chain Lake's eruption."
