Comments: | This may have been the end of a series. Boiling over the vent continued for 3-4 minutes. The main pool of North was agitated from wind and kept pushing water toward Little Brother {no eruption fromThree Crater or other vents in that pool the whole time I watched}. Everything settled, then series resumed 1824 with another small, blooping eruption with subsequent eruptions resuming typical spindle-shaped bursts every 1-2 minutes with each subsequent eruption becoming more vigorous, taller, and with more discrete bursts. Water never came up to visible berm during eruptive series but stayed confined to small pool with crinkly sinter edge. Observations made with the help of binoculars. |
