0900 - just past Corporal & Dog’s Leg the sound of sputtering similar to Whirligig in eruption caught my attention. There are two vents upstream from the bridge on Tantalus continuously (?) erupting water 5-6”. Heading to Double Bulger the smell of burnt sugar permeated the air.
NOTE: Most other mentions will not have a specific time in eruption so will be Notes with a generic time, like noon. mab
ALSO NOTE: As far as I know this is the first mention of these in vintage Norris records. There is however lots of info on a triangle of hot ground from Veteran past Corporal down to the trail junction and NBK5 and towards Vixen, but unless a geyser breaks out those will probably never be recorded here. mab |
