Comments:GT-TD2-Anemone has been added to the database. This transient feature is located adjacent to the section of boardwalk between Little Squirt and the Anemones. In 2023, GT-TD2 was only observed active during or near to Little Squirt eruptions. There are several small frying pan vents that rebuild cones of tiny sinter pieces. This feature has the informal name of "Pygmy Geyser" which has a significant history of use; however, given the complicated history of the word "pygmy" and the USBGN's policy on derogatory names, we have elected to assign a temporary designation to the feature until it receives a UNNG designation, different informal name, or the USBGN chooses to officially recognize "Pygmy Geyser." As a reminder, the GeyserTimes temporary designation format is GT-TD[rolling #]-[name of nearby feature with an official, or failing that, entrenched name]. Additionally, we have removed "Midget Geyser" from our database and migrated the two entries listed to "Spume Geyser." Research by Rocco Paperiello and Lee Whittlesey indicate that these two names have been applied to the feature at (44.462782, -110.829362). Similarly to above—while "Midget Geyser" has the much longer history of use, we opt for now to use the less controversial name "Spume Geyser" in our database. The two entries originally entered under "Midget Geyser" (ID 151) will be marked in the comments.
