Comments:First hot period after Grotto marathon. Two minutes into the hot period, Mastiff dropped and Bijou went into steam, yet Feather and Feather Satellite continued to erupt for 8 minutes with no activity from any other platform vents. 10 minutes into the hot period, Bijou paused. Then, \\\\\\\"Mastiff suddenly filled and began to overflow heavily. With this, Rust and the Southwest Vents began to fill with water. Over a period of about 2 minutes, Mastiff began to overflow heavily, then surge several feet, and very quickly began to erupt [at 1713]. The front vent reached a height of about 25 feet with jets landing beyond Catfish\\\\\\\'s cone and the back vent had periods of vertical play as high as 20 feet. About 90 seconds later, Mastiff and the vents in front of Giant quit. Bijou resumed play briefly then paused again as the water in Mastiff and the vents in front of the cone once again came up. Mastiff started overflowing again with surging to a few feet and Feather started erupting to a few feet as well. Juts as it seemed Mastiff would once again begin erupting, the water levels in all the vents around Giant dropped, Bijou resumed, and the hot period was over.\\\\\\\" (Mike Keller description quoted in T. Cross, \\\\\\\"The Activity of Giant Geyser August 2005 - April 2008,\\\" GOSA Transactions Vol. 10 pp. 54-55.)
