after the 10th burst, Turban and Vent quit and restarted 4 minutes later with big afterplay beginning immediately. There was an afterburst about 5m after Turban and Vent restarted.

From the geyser summary in The Geyser Gazer Sput, Vol. 9, No. 4: ”The most spectacular eruption of the season was the D15/T10+Q at 13:16 on 10 July. This is the most bursts by Grand since 14 May 1984 (9+2), and only the sixth eruption of 8 or more bursts since 1969. Interestingly, the eight burst eruption also took place on 10 July (1980). This interval was 14h44m, and the Grand eruption was preceded by 2m17s of Turban activity, an unusually long time. The first burst lasted 6m53s, while the total main duration was 19m12s[.] Vent and Turban quit as Grand concluded the tenth burst. The pause lasted 4m19s, and 5m05s later, Grand had the eleventh and final bursts of the eruption."
