| Comments: | Observed 1352- Murky cloudy wash, 3rd (west) channel wet, cyanidium disappearing with chunks floating downstream, greyish silt deposit hanging on the rocks in the channel.. Upstream of the vent/pool the channel was still green so it wasn't a big push from Sand Spring or something else upstream. Upon return at 1750 channels were much more white, much less green, and water much clearer. Whether this was a big burp or an eruption, who knows. I will ask staff if they saw anything when I return next. YVO monitor registered the one I saw real-time last September, so if it comes back online maybe there will be confirmation or more information. |
