There was a Rocket Major at the start of Grotto (a few minutes before this observation).
Mastiff was often spraying from the back vent and a few times from the front vent. There was one wide splash front & back. Mastiff was depth charging after Bijou slowdowns.
Bijou was on very strong and lessened slightly every few minutes (and then Catfish would spurt). Never came anywhere close to a good slowdown nor a pause.
The Southwest Vents had light steam.
I think that there may have been another Rocket at about the usual time that shut Grotto down. I heard lots of splashing over there at one point but couldn’t see any water due to lots of steam & wind direction. Grotto was already off when I walked over there at the end of this observation. |

As I was walking from Oblong, I saw Mastiff to about 1 foot briefly (in the back), then “fingers” (thin splashes) as I walked by. Bijou had been slowing periodically while I was at Oblong, but no Bijou pauses seen. Grotto was off during this time. |

Mastiff almost continuously depth charging from the front vent 1-2 feet high with s couple of taller bursts. At 0911 Mastiff bursting increased but NO bathtub, then Bijou went to steam. |

Mastiff depth charging when I arrived and throughout observation. Some splashes were accompanied with a "pop". 3' above the rim at times. Right vent sometimes sent a thick fan of water angled left to right rather than the more common smaller left right splashes. Two bathtubs during this time and I left after the second one with Mastiff still depth charging. |
