34898 04 Jun 2024 @ 1037 04 Jun 2024 @ 1437 JSJ All closed intervals. Outpost Geyser is still having shorts (S) and longs (L), like last season, but not alternating back and forth. Observed eruptions today: SSSLSLSSSLSSLSSLSSLSSSLSSLSSLSSLSLSSLSSLSS. Out of 42 eruptions, 29 were shorts (= 69%) and 13 were longs (= 31%).
36405 13 Aug 2023 @ 1654 13 Aug 2023 @ 1834 JSJ All closed intervals. Alternating longs (L) and shorts (S): LSLSLSLSLSLSLSL.
27467 08 Aug 2023 @ 1435 08 Aug 2023 @ 1846 JSJ All closed intervals. Still doing alternating longs and shorts.
27429 05 Aug 2023 @ 1437 05 Aug 2023 @ 1709 JSJ All closed intervals. Alternating long (~3 to 4 minute durations) and short eruptions (less than 1 minute long). Long eruptions include splashing from undercut ledge - this is NOT Sentry erupting. Water splashes into Sentry's basin, which was mostly water-filled and had a submerged microbial ring.
26348 15 Jun 2023 @ 1426 15 Jun 2023 @ 1632 JSJ All closed intervals. All eruptions started with low pool splashing. Alternating long and short eruptions - no exceptions. "Short" eruption durations were <1 minute. "Long" eruption durations were ~3 to 4 minutes. Splashing through an undercut geyserite ledge during Outpost eruptions gives the illusion of a separate vent erupting - it's not Sentry Geyser.
25280 30 Apr 2023 @ 1117 --- SantaFe108 Outpost appears to be bimodal. It has weak (minor?) eruptions that don't completely fill the pool and last ~40 seconds followed by about ~3-4 minute intervals. Then it also had 3-4 minute long strong eruptions with Sentry followed by 11-12 minute intervals. EDIT: Sentry is not erupting during the long eruptions of Outpost. The vent that is erupting is part of Outpost's pool, referred to as the "undercut ledge" by James St. John.
14675 19 Jun 2020 @ 0905 19 Jun 2020 @ 0911 jkgood During brief observation it steadily blipped water 6-8 inches
13151 10 Aug 2019 @ 1339 --- JSJ Lightly steaming & grumbling (has been). No eruptions during two hours of observation.
8703 15 Jun 2018 @ 1615 --- JSJ In intermittent, very low splashing.
8639 11 Jun 2018 @ 1803 --- JSJ Outpost Geyser in intermittent light splashing.
2963 04 Jun 2016 @ 1646 04 Jun 2016 @ 1747 JSJ Outpost Geyser observed to have frequent spitting/very low spouting (just visible from boardwalk). Pool/basin on the immediate NNE side of Outpost Geyser was empty.
