Just west of Valentine a large section of the alcove wall has collapsed during the night leaving a hole about 4 ft by 3 ft and exposing a large cavern beneath the hill. There is no activity in the cavern. The sinter covering appeared to have been about 3 in thick and showed signs of steam vent activity on its underside (sulphur growths)

The first, at 9:50 AM on June 15, played to a height of 40-50 feet with a duration of 40 minutes. The other observed eruptions occurred on June 25 and June 27. No interval has been established.
