Probably erupting more often than I am recording. Location of feature probably obscures some activity. Didn’t attempt to log every big spike. |

May have been more frequent at earlier part of the morning but hard to see with abundant steam in basin. Once it warmed up and steam cleared out it seemed frequently active. Has been having several sets of spiky bursts with pauses and then more bursts for about 2 minutes. Then a few minutes with no activity for a few minutes. Hard to tell from boardwalk if these are separate eruptions with minute long intervals or sets of bursts starting about every six minutes. |

Seen IE frequently during my stay- many tall vertical bursts and tracers seen from Constant- the angled bursts difficult to see due to steam |

8/17/1981- no time noted - Collapsed Cave Spring B) described on Aug 6 is much more active today. Its water is very light gray, & almost clear and has bursts of up to 20’. There was also a ~1min period of quiescence before the bursts would occur again. A geyser! This geyser can be seen from the Whirligig area of bd. wk, appears No of Blue G - commonly called “Collapsed Cave” |
