7581 30 Jan 1989 @ 0000 30 Jan 1989 @ 2359 JSJ [Referring to Firehose:] Deep Blue Satellite's Vent's "ice cone" [= wintertime ice buildup from emitted steam crystallizing around vent area] - height 6.4 meters, maximum length 27.2 meters, maximum width 12.7 meters, estimated volume 5 x 20 x 9 meters = 900 cubic meters (~54.9 million ice cubes of 1 cubic inch).
7573 25 May 1988 @ 0500 25 May 1988 @ 1200 JSJ Deep Blue Geyser's east satellite vent [= Firehose] has been almost continuously active since March 1988. Measurements this morning with the assistance of Mrs. Caroline Evans (West District Ranger) were made: Maximum height 14.3 meters. Vertical angle 51 degrees. Distance from Honey's Vent 32.6 meters. Distance from Kaleidoscope Geyser 48.8 meters. Distance from Deep Blue Geyser 30.5 meters.
