Crater was full and overflowing when I arrived. Crater is still full and overflowing when I left at 1600. I am 99% certain Lone Pine has not had a major eruption since 0802 on 7/15, putting the major to major interval at 104 hours and increasing. Observations in June showed that 12 hours after a major eruption the crater still had not yet refilled, let alone had time to overflow and have bubbles breaking the surface sending ripples across the pool. Since observation of this interval started at the 69 hour mark, Lone Pine was not left unattended for more than 12 hours. If a major eruption happened before 0510 7/18 when I started watching Lone Pine for this interval, the major would have had to have happened before 1710 on 7/17, a major to major interval of only 57 hours. |

From 1205 until 1535 there was no visible steam coming from the crater. At 1535 I noticed soft pillows of steam rising from the crater. At 1627 I could see water standing in the crater about two inches or so below the rim. I did not stay to find out how much lnger it would take for the water to reach high enough to overflow. |

When I arrived at 0550 the crater was overflowing out the east side. Streams of bubbles were breaking the surface almost constantly such that it appeared at least half the surface was covered with ripples. The spund of bubbles almst constantly breaking the surface started to approach the sizzling level that has, in the past, signaled the start of an eruption. Sadly, the frequency and intensity pf the streams of bubbles started to decrease about 10. By 1215 even solo bubbles breaking the surface were infrequent. Between 1230 and 1515 no bubbles were observed causing ripples on the surface. Infrequent solo bubbles resumed about 1515. When I departed at 1750 the only activity was an isolated, infrequent bubble breaking the surface. Because the activity this morning was the strongest activity I have seen, I don’t think Lone Pine has erupted since ArtH observed it at 1158ie on 6/11/2024, a presumed interval of about 78 hours and counting… |

Still {surprise} full and overflowing. Hard to tell with steady, light rain, but I saw a few bubbles that seemed to be pushing water out plus even taking rain into consideration, the OF channels seem like the water coming through them is cutting a wider, fuller swath.
