7373 10 Oct 1967 @ 1800 --- research-mab 10/10/1967 Chocolate Fountain – full far above pool edges. Has cut runoff channel on South, boiling mildly with water ebbing and flowing. Color is lighter brown.
7366 27 Sep 1967 @ 1800 --- research-mab 09/27/1967 Chocolate Fountain – no evidence of any major activity, but erosion and mud coating around the pool indicates that the pool probably fills and overflows as far as 3 ft from the normal edge of the pool. A runoff is developing to the southwest. Sections of the pool’s bank have caved in, enlarging the pool on the south, southeast, and northwest sides.
7353 18 Sep 1967 @ 1800 --- research-mab 09/18/1967 Chocolate Fountain appears quiet. Mud dried on the logs surrounding the pool. Root Spring – still normal temp 164º
7351 16 Sep 1967 @ 1800 --- research-mab 09/16/1967 Chocolate Fountain surging over the rim. Looks as if there have been some big ones down there.

The pool level seems to remain static although surges of boiling still occur every two or three minutes. I don’t believe there was rain yesterday to raise the water level as much as it has risen (6 -10 inches)
7326 11 Sep 1967 @ 0800 --- research-mab 09/11/1967 Chocolate Fountain appears to have erupted again. Ground wet and muddy for about 10 ft on all sides. {no specfic time}
7336 31 Aug 1967 @ 1800 --- research-mab 08/31/1967 Chocolate Fountain seems to be slowing up. No evidence of recent large bursts this morning. I have seen no large ones in three days and have had no reports of large ones from visitors. The mud takes a long time to dry out. Mud cracks are appearing in the mud while it still appears to be quite damp.
