Nice overflows at 1115 and 1216. Between the overflows there was frequent blipping ranging from audible to 2-3" out of the cone. There appeared to be no correlation between Skinny's activity and the nearby intermittent springs. |

Overflow at 1315. Due to extra sinter that had been carried into area in spring, overflow carries to southwest side of cone. In previous years, water flowed to the northeast of cone. Post-overflow bubbling began at 1319 but was very inconsistent. |

Overflow event (near start) at 1537 - done at ~1540. Overflow start at 1615 - moderately heavy; done at ~1618 to 1619. Overflow start at 1652 - short-lived and not heavy; already done by 1655. Overflow start at 1728 - moderately heavy at times; done at ~1731. Overflow start at 1803 - relatively short-lived; done at 1804 or 1805. Observed behaviors include: 1) very intermittent, very low spouts & blips & small splashes; 2) moderately frequent, low to very low spouts & blipping & small splashing; 3) light overflow events that filled the small proximal splash basin near vent; 4) relatively heavy overflow events involving water leaving the cone entirely and percolating into the proximal geyserite gravel. Observed overflow intervals (including "in overflow" events): 13m, 13m, 17m, 24m, 26m, 21m, 26m. Progressively heavier overflows as the afternoon progressed. Relentless cold wind made me bail. |
