| Note: | 09/15/1978 - no time noted - .basin wide disturbances continue! - Crater Spring – water level has dropped to its former level of earlier this year. Erupting vent on north side was 200ºF Pool temperature was 186ºF. Water was still muddy. = Root Pool – has returned to its murky green-blue color. Temp 160ºF, the pool continues to undercut towards trail. For safety reasons I moved the trail logs 18” towards the north. |
