Note: | 10/04/1964 - no time noted - Colloidal Pool is still a geyser. The intervals are now longer, approximately 2 to 5 minutes. The durations average 18 minutes. The north (or northeast) crater is now separate from the main crater. Its eruptions are much more violent than yesterday – the main vent appears the same (to about 20 feet maximum). The crater of the north vent has eroded about 6 feet – since yesterday – laterally to the north. The walk may be endangered. |
