| Note: | From the Icelandic Met Office (Veðurstofan): "On Saturday (oct. 19) there was an unusual increase in hot springs [sic] in the Geysir geothermal area. Most hot springs are now more powerful than before. No changes have been detected to explain this activity. The Met office will continue to monitor and attempts will be made to understand underlying reasons for this increased activity. The Met office recommends that visitors pay attention to possible dangers and keep a safe distance from the hot springs and hot waters." |
