| Note: | 8/22/1981 Sunday Some bursts from right vent as seen from Africa geyser are as large as the left vent bursts. These come as activity in left vent subsides. Sunday’s majors are synchronous with Africa crater fills. Africa is filling to within 3 inches of crater rim. The second eruption of those separated by a 2m interval did not have the accompanying Africa of other majors. Grover Schrayer III |
