| Note: | 09/10/1979 - no time noted - Bear Den is apparently a more complicated geyser than we think. While standing at the vent dangling the thermometer into the cavern inside, Bear Den began a bubbling sound. I immediately ran away from the vent just in time to avoid a single 10’ splash. No other play, no water apparent even 10’ down. Perhaps it doesn’t like getting its throat tickled. |
