| Note: | 07/25/1972 Ledge either had several very heavy surges or an aborted major eruption during the night as the whole area was wet & the marker had been washed away from the sinter platform. The marker was replaced at 7:50 am. In one of the last eruptions {7/23 – 7/25} the main vent of Ledge has been enlarged by area area 17 inches in length& 10 inches in width at the SE end of the vent. It may be the result of the ejection of a sinter covered log. |
