Note: | Walked far Back Basin counter-clockwise. Typical cold morning steam from Steamboat entire time. No audible steam phase. Cistern full, overflowing, blue, & clear about 0740. Steamboat splashing infrequent minors from north vent 0745-0755 to maybe 10 or 20 feet at most. It looked "back to normal" (non-major) activity. Sinter all over surrounding boardwalks but at edges & pine needles, etc, washed down hill and across walk at bottom of hill between Steamboat runoff bridge and Cistern, but probably from last weekend's activity? (We weren't in basin last weekend). We both agreed Steamboat & Cistern looked to have resumed "regular" activity. It was raining lightly as we walked from Green Dragon Spring to Cistern. |
