| Comments: | 20 Restarts! Beautiful moonlit eruption that started just as the sun was setting and the moon, with all its brilliance, was coming up! The trees to the SE were like ghost trees! Steamboats steam was backlit by the uber bright moon and the shadows of the trees stayed and danced as the steam wafted about! Then there was the encore of 20 restarts that completely shut down the platform for 8 - 14 seconds each time. SV would go into a roaring steam phase, NV starts to burst with muddy water then NV stops and SV stops and the platform is completely quiet for ~10s! Then they come back in unison! Much like Grands multiple burst eruptions but louder and taller.... maybe taller!?! Has to be one of my top 5 eruptions! AMAZING!! The seismo shows all the restarts starting at 2143! |
