Comments: | "Reverse Firehose Geyser" in the Angle Geyser complex, Sprinkler Group, Lower Geyser Basin. Appears to be vent 4 of Wolf & Paperiello (1989, Report on the Kaleidoscope & Sprinkler Groups, pp. 25, 26, 31, 32) (= located at 44° 33' 15.30" North latitude, 110° 48' 41.43" West longitude). Same geyser as reported in May & June 2019. Same geyser that's seen in: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=73KYNCGiNAA Relatively tall, slender spouting angled to the left, as seen from the Fountain overlook platform. Eruption from 1535 to 1558, with 8 pauses. Erupting from 1535 to 1544, 1545-1546, 1547-1548, 1548-1549, 1550-1551, 1551-1552, 1552-1553, 1554-1556, 1556-1558 (low) - done. Restart eruption columns were smaller. Small blipping from 1558 to 1604. Tiny blipping at 1606. Duration of 1st "burst" = 9 minutes. 2nd to 9th "bursts" = ~1 to 2 minutes each. No North Angle Geyser eruptions while Reverse Firehose was active, and for ~40 minutes after, as well. Filmed. |
