12507 16 Jul 2019 @ 1050 --- Janet White Bluebell and Seismograph Pools at West Thumb Geyser Basin were below overflow, but with a wet area above the water line. Wondering if they're now cycling. Never saw them below overflow until this year.
12009 28 Jun 2019 @ 1026 28 Jun 2019 @ 1046 ypcaribou Fearless Geyser water level dropped since earlier. Water level to white band just below dark band inside crater. About 1/3 white to 2/3 dark showing. Roils right of center, then splashes about a foot, then stops bubbling for about a minute.
12008 28 Jun 2019 @ 0640 --- ypcaribou Fearless Geyser full to dark area inside crater a few inches below light gray rim.
11804 14 Jun 2019 @ 1343 --- JSJ A subaqueous vent is bubbling in the hook of the J-shaped pool (= far-western part of pool) in the Young Hopeful-Gray Bulger area.
11803 14 Jun 2019 @ 1337 --- JSJ Four vents just to the north-northwest of the J-shaped pool in the Young Hopeful-Gray Bulger area are variably active. The farthest vent (northernmost) has the most sizable & most energetic episodic eruptions of the four.
11800 14 Jun 2019 @ 1015 --- JSJ Spitter Spring active. Steam plume visible from Daisy Trail.
11713 10 Jun 2019 @ 1110 --- JSJ Salt-n-Pepper Geyser (Biscuit Basin, Upper Geyser Basin). In copious overflow. Only the northern vent is active, with intermittent, low to moderately low splashing.
11699 10 Jun 2019 @ 1040 10 Jun 2019 @ 1048 Micah Kipple Oakleaf Spring, Thud Group - near constant boiling and possibly small splashing from south side of crater. Visible barely from naked eye. Fairly easily observable with binoculars from pullout.
11694 09 Jun 2019 @ 0800 09 Jun 2019 @ 1600 JarnoO Several spikes show up on both loggers which line up almost perfectly from about 0800 till 1600. See attachments. Theorising it could be a feature somewhere between the Lakes and Porkchop which, while erupting, causes both the Lakes and Porkchop to rise in temperature (and, at the end of such an eruption, drop in temperature simultaniously). Wouldn't be surprised if it were to be the Lakes themselves.
11662 08 Jun 2019 @ 1216 --- JSJ UNNG-WCG-7 (White Creek Group, Lower Geyser Basin). Light intermittent bubbling from 4 sites in pool. Pool water-filled, but not full. No overflow.
11661 08 Jun 2019 @ 1213 --- JSJ Twin Butte Vista Spring (White Creek Group, Lower Geyser Basin). Intermittent low splashing visible from road.
11634 07 Jun 2019 @ 1007 --- JSJ Pair Geyser (= RCN database name) in the southwestern Kaleidoscope Group (Lower Geyser Basin); vent is located at 44° 33' 15.35" North latitude, 110° 48' 48.74" West longitude. No visible water in basin. Lightly steaming. No activity today.
11584 04 Jun 2019 @ 1300 04 Jun 2019 @ 1450 JSJ "Chunk Geyser" (a.k.a. "Piston Geyser") - small feature between Thumping Hole Geyser & Spasmodic Geyser (Sawmill Group). 1300 - basin water-filled. 1427 - water level low - just in the vent, fluctuating a bit, like a piston. 1450 - water level higher - basin about half-way filled, with very slight, barely noticeable fluctuations in the water surface.
11583 04 Jun 2019 @ 1258 04 Jun 2019 @ 1428 JSJ Old Tardy C Geyser in the Sawmill Group (vent is at 44° 27’ 57.57" North latitude, 110° 50' 11.59" West longitude), 20 feet east of Crystal Spring. 1258 - water level is over the central funnel, with constant bubbling/roiling, and a low-pitched buzzing. 1344 - water level is lower - in the central funnel, with moderately vigorous low splashing; same behavior at 1428.
11558 03 Jun 2019 @ 0956 --- JSJ Pair Geyser (= RCN database name) in the southwestern Kaleidoscope Group (Lower Geyser Basin); vent is located at 44° 33' 15.35" North latitude, 110° 48' 48.74" West longitude. No visible water. No steam. No observed activity today.
11529 02 Jun 2019 @ 1144 --- JSJ "Son of Beach Geyser" (UNNG-GHG-7) & nearby "Orange Halo Spring" were both active today. Both were seen off & in eruption. Son of Beach Geyser's eruptions are more energetic than in previous years - frequent low to moderately low splashing today. Orange Halo Spring's eruptions are still small, ~slender spouts.
11381 27 May 2019 @ 1356 --- Micah Kipple Clepsydra's new vent is full of water, boiling, and pulsing.
11359 26 May 2019 @ 1039 --- ypcaribou Fearless still quite full with gentle bubbling in middle
11358 26 May 2019 @ 0551 --- ypcaribou Fearless quite full (just a couple of inches of black visible just below rim) with gentle bubbling in middle.
11181 03 May 2019 @ 1545 --- Janet White Chain Lakes are empty - or nearly so.
10793 25 Dec 2018 @ 1648 --- Janet White Pygmy Geyser - Empty and acting as a fumarole. Stray thought - is this tied to Silver Spring’s activity? Silver was dead at this time.
10785 25 Dec 2018 @ 1057 --- Janet White The area sort of breaking out behind Spasmodic had one small vent splashing up no higher than an inch. Spasmodic was in overflow but the front vents weren’t active.
10783 25 Dec 2018 @ 1026 --- Janet White The Unnamed Thermal Feature next to Pot o’ Gold is showing a bit. The area is wet and has green microbes growing.
10780 25 Dec 2018 @ 0955 --- Janet White Pygmy Geyser full of water - spitting up an inch at most. Steaming vent has opened up to the right of it and a dry spot to the left of it. Photos and short video to come on my Instagram account. (yellowstonenaturalist)
10778 25 Dec 2018 @ 0941 --- Janet White Thumps at East Chinaman Spring
10731 09 Nov 2018 @ 0500 --- JarnoO It seems as if something near YVO's Gray Lakes Tributary Logger is erupting. Small spikes seem to be occurring about every 3 hours and cause a raise in the trace of less than a °C. Spike does look rather thin, so this would suggest an eruption of <= 2 minutes. Have looked through Norris' Back Basin map and table in The Geysers of Yellowstone, 5th edition, but couldn't really find a match in the southwestern portion of Back Basin.
10511 30 Sep 2018 @ 1540 --- MAB NGB = Blue Mud Steam Vent - Water level much higher than my last viewing - now easily visible, near the top of the crater opening at the embedded snag. Very Dark water with violent splashing. I forgot to look at Arrow on my way by.
10374 18 Sep 2018 @ 1530 --- Siegmund Exclamation Point: ~5cm below overflow, murky, no longer boiling.
10365 17 Sep 2018 @ 0845 --- Siegmund Carnegie Drill Site: Quiet, no boiling
10363 16 Sep 2018 @ 1340 --- Siegmund Exclamation point: heavy overflow, boiling. 3rd crater across Sawmill trail splashing muddy water onto the edge of the boardwalk, orange cone on trail.)
10353 16 Sep 2018 @ 1112 --- Siegmund Palpitator Spring: empty at 1112.
10233 15 Sep 2018 @ 2207 --- Micah Kipple Exclamation point: cloudy and roiling from the longest pool.
9984 02 Sep 2018 @ 0845 --- EmilyW South bubbler at beehive Hissing
9961 31 Aug 2018 @ 0953 --- EmilyW South bubbler at beehive hissing loudly
9784 19 Aug 2018 @ 1808 --- JarnoO Some feature appeared to be steaming (maybe erupting) in the middle of Little Cub and Beehive, from webcam perspective. I've seen this same feature earlier in the exact same spot.
9714 14 Aug 2018 @ 1020 --- Micah Kipple I suspect there are two features behind lone star that are behaving as geysers. The first one lies at the west edge of the hillside cluster just before the thick grass. I can only hear it periodically and during the loudest times I can see water splashing within its blackish orange Crater. The second feature is the farthest pool back within the grassy area. I have watched it for sometime and it certainly seems like the splashing is periodic. With long pauses between bursting episodes.
9687 12 Aug 2018 @ 1426 --- JSJ Tonsils Geyser (Tangled Geysers Group, Lower Geyser Basin) quiet - haven't seen activity from it at all this summer.
9686 12 Aug 2018 @ 1405 --- JSJ Tiny active blippers just southeast of Tonsils Spring (Tangled Geysers Group, Lower Geyser Basin).
9683 12 Aug 2018 @ 1104 --- JSJ Round Spring (Thud Group, Lower Geyser Basin) - in overflow.

10664 09 Aug 2018 @ 1049 --- JSJ "North Tangerine Spouter" (= unnamed feature immediately to the north-northeast of Tangerine Spouter /Spring) in the Sprinkler Group (Lower Geyser Basin). Steaming; no spouting noticed.
9588 09 Aug 2018 @ 1038 --- JSJ Earthquake Geyser (Sprinkler Group, Lower Geyser Basin). Usual intermittent low spouting.
9534 07 Aug 2018 @ 1556 --- JSJ "Bottlecap Geyser" ("new" geyser near Plume Geyser). Has been having occasional low splashing. Example: at 1556. I think "UNNG-GHG-14" has been used to refer to this feature. I have seen that designation applied to at least three different vents on Geyser Hill, so the term is here considered a nomen dubium and its usage is strongly discouraged.
9471 04 Aug 2018 @ 1918 04 Aug 2018 @ 1932 JSJ "Vertical Geyser" (Sprinkler Group, Lower Geyser Basin) (= LKNN023 in the RCN database; = vent 23 of Wolf & Paperiello, 1989, Report on the Kaleidoscope & Sprinkler Groups); vent is located in the vicinity of 44° 33’ 14.50" North, 110° 48' 39.96" West. No full eruptions, but noticed brief, low, light splashing at 1918 and 1932.
9469 04 Aug 2018 @ 1710 04 Aug 2018 @ 1745 JSJ Pair Geyser (= RCN database name) in the southwestern Kaleidoscope Group (Lower Geyser Basin); vent is located at 44° 33' 15.35" North latitude, 110° 48' 48.74" West longitude. No visible water at 1710. A little water visible at 1745.
9457 03 Aug 2018 @ 1835 --- JSJ Tangled Geysers Group (Lower Geyser Basin) - two small areas of active blipping a little southeast of Tonsils Spring. Seen from White Dome boardwalk. No East Tangled or Spire eruptions while watching.
9453 03 Aug 2018 @ 1227 --- JSJ Old Tardy C Geyser (Sawmill Group) - in low eruption, confined to the throat of the basin.
9420 02 Aug 2018 @ 1721 02 Aug 2018 @ 1839 JSJ No activity at all in the Tangled Geysers Group - no Tonsils, no West Tonsils, no UNNG near West Tonsils, no Spire, no East Tangled, no Mat Spring, no blippers.
9416 02 Aug 2018 @ 1649 --- JSJ Sunlight Geyser (Black Sand Basin, Upper Geyser Basin). Both vents off; quiet.
9392 02 Aug 2018 @ 1030 --- Micah Kipple Multiple vents in the southeastern portion of the Orange Spring group are heating up. One vent is now boiling 6" and others are periodically bubbling
9380 01 Aug 2018 @ 2011 --- JSJ Limekiln Springs - usual low splashing.
9347 31 Jul 2018 @ 1610 --- Janet White Small bubbler above and behind Marmot Cave ie
9203 15 Jul 2018 @ 1836 --- Micah Kipple Elongate spring in front of double vented spring near the path producing heavy orange overflow in the Orange Spring group pulsing and sending up bubbles occasionally.
8838 21 Jun 2018 @ 1000 21 Jun 2018 @ 1645 MAB NGB = ONYX SPRING - vigorous violent continual bursts all day. I have made Notes on Onyx in the past for little blurps ~ these were good sized vertical bursts
8810 20 Jun 2018 @ 0945 --- mdschwarz Loud steam vent in group of springs south of Vixen. Easily audible from Yellow Funnel. Surrounded by multiple muddy spouters to a foot or two.
8813 20 Jun 2018 @ 0930 --- mdschwarz Green Dragon Spring pool level appears to be lower than usual (based on bathtub rings) and chocolate brown color. Large pool behind it putting out small waves and overflowing brown water into Green Dragon.
8761 18 Jun 2018 @ 1019 --- JSJ Lambchop Geyser (Porcelain Basin, Norris Geyser Basin). Moderately forceful steaming from one vent.
8741 16 Jun 2018 @ 1641 --- JSJ UNNG-FTN-7, in the flats well beyond Mask Geyser. No full eruptions seen this afternoon - only blipping and very low, brief spouting.

8688 14 Jun 2018 @ 1940 --- JSJ Tonsils Geyser (Tangled Geysers Group, Lower Geyser Basin) still inactive. Only 2 currently active geysers in this area - Spire & East Tangled.
8672 13 Jun 2018 @ 1610 13 Jun 2018 @ 1727 JSJ "Sidekick Geyser" - new vent near Clepsydra Geyser from May-June 2017. Hole empty (no visible water) & no activity at 1610. Basin already filled with runoff from Fountain's eruption at 1727.
8620 10 Jun 2018 @ 1049 --- JSJ UNNG-WCG-7 (White Creek Group, Lower Geyser Basin) (= LWCGNN002 in the RCN database). Pool near full, but no overflow. Intermittent light roiling and light bubbling.
8619 10 Jun 2018 @ 1034 --- JSJ Twin Butte Vista Spring (White Creek Group, Lower Geyser Basin) - visible, intermittent, low splashing visible from road.

Basin appears empty at 1527 - no visible water, as seen from Fountain overlook platform. Water visible at 1645.
8425 02 Jun 2018 @ 1355 --- JSJ "Sidekick Geyser" - summer 2017 vent near Clepsydra. Crater empty & inactive before Fountain Geyser's eruption. Got water-filled by Fountain's runoff.
8402 01 Jun 2018 @ 2020 --- JSJ Tonsils Geyser was off (Tangled Geysers Group, Lower Geyser Basin) - first time I've ever seen it inactive.
8382 29 May 2018 @ 1400 --- steve I watched Fungoid spring from 1400 to 1700 with no eruptions.
8101 04 May 2018 @ 1131 --- Janet White "Pygmy Geyser" has formed a shallow depression in the gravel.
8107 04 May 2018 @ 1110 --- Janet White East Chinaman Spring still has a freshly washed overflow area around the spring. Faint thumps heard and felt standing here, but not heard or felt standing at Chinese Spring.
8006 26 Apr 2018 @ 1624 26 Apr 2018 @ 1625 TSBryan Micah's description indeed sounds like Moxie, though tete are several "holes" in tat area.
8005 26 Apr 2018 @ 1306 --- Micah Kipple A small geyser has been erupting nearly constantly up to about a meter. It lies almost directly between Arsenic and Fireball and in front of the lava pool complex. Could this be Moxie?
8002 25 Apr 2018 @ 1930 --- Micah Kipple East Chinaman thumps! Accompanied by large bubbles reaching the surface
7752 22 Sep 2017 @ 1530 22 Sep 2017 @ 1650 Tara There appeared to be a small geyser to the east of Gentian Pool. It was erupting about every 2 minutes with durations of about 1 minute. Eruptions appeared from a distance to consist of mostly steam and reach maybe 1-2 feet, but they were definitely periodic. Rocco Paperiello remembers there being some vents in this area, and this was possibly one of them.
6165 09 Sep 2017 @ 0825 --- ypcaribou Palpitator Spring almost empty for over 5 minutes and still was when we left. Water barely visible in bottom and not rising. Reminiscent of what it used to look like back when Echinus was erupting regularly and predictably in the early 90's.
5407 10 Aug 2017 @ 1251 10 Aug 2017 @ 1601 JSJ Pair Geyser (= RCN database name) in the southwestern Kaleidoscope Group (Lower Geyser Basin); vent is located at 44° 33' 15.35" North, 110° 48' 48.74" West.
