Comments: | <1 minute eruptions from an unnamed geyser that appears to be vent "i" of Butch Bach (1980) in the Tangled Geysers Group, Lower Geyser Basin. Regardless, the geyser's vent is located at 44° 32' 25.86" North latitude, 110° 48' 17.40" West longitude on the 2016 satellite photo on Google Earth. On the September 2023 satellite photo on Google Earth, the geyser's vent is at 44° 32' 25.76" North latitude, 110° 48' 17.45" West longitude. This geyser has enlarged its crater in recent years. Saw four eruptions from it today: 0948 to 0949, 1057 to 1058, 1200 to 1201, and 1340 to 1341. Decent-sized eruptions for a Tangled Geysers Group feature - spouting was 1 to 2 meters high or more. Filmed three of these eruptions. Could hear eruption splashing all the way from the White Dome boardwalk. Closed intervals: 69m, 63m, 100m. |
