Comments: | Eruption of an unnamed geyser in the Kaleidoscope Group (Lower Geyser Basin), designated LKNN001 in the RCN database. Vent is located 7 meters north-northeast of Kaleidoscope Geyser & 9 meters south-southeast of the center of Drain Geyser. Vent of unnamed geyser is at 44° 33' 16.04" North, 110° 48' 47.61" West. Unnamed geyser erupted at 1424 for <1m. One previous eruption occurred between 1337 & 1424 (i.e., after the end of Fountain Geyser's 1308 to 1337 eruption); none had occurred before that, going back to 1100, when observations started this day. Observed nineteen subsequent eruptions at 1432 to 1433, 1447 to 1448, 1453 to 1454, 1458, 1509 to 1510, 1514, 1519, 1524, 1528 to 1529, 1532, 1536, late 1539 to 1540, 1544, 1548, 1551 to 1552, 1555, 1559, 1604, and 1642 - all with <1m durations. Plus there was an attempted eruption at 1502 (low splashing only). No LKNN001 eruptions occurred after 1642. Ceased observations at 1755. |
