Lower Mortar had a few surges that cleared the back of its cone. Last MV splash was 1537. The quality of MV splashing ranged from elegant fountaining to a rowdy surge up and over East Vent's wall. There were a few slow downs in MV's splashing where water wasn't seen for several minutes. 1547 RV on. 1554 Gold Vent on. 1600 Angle Vent on. Water levels started out good, then waned, and then came back. When levels dropped out of sight and GV went to steam, it was clear that there would not be an eruption. All vents were off at 1621.|
