| Note: | March 30 1978 - Steamboat was viewed at 1400. The steam phase was declining, both in force and amount. Sprays of water were being ejected, however the north vent was the principal site of this activity. Gravel was mixed in with the water, so it looks like the debris washed into the vent from Tuesday’s eruption is being tossed out. Cistern Spring is still very low, water level appear about the same as yesterday. |
