| Note: | 08/13/1977 - no time noted - Two major changes in Back Basin today 1) Two Muddy Sneaker pools in the back row to the west have changed color from blue to brown. The southern pool has a layer of broken up brown foam as well. 2) Cistern Hot Spring has apparently increased its water flow and boiling activity since yesterday. The main pool plus all of the colorful run-off terraces, have lightened in color because of the increase in sediments giving the milky appearance. |
