| Note: | June 1970 - no time - Steamboat has not had a big play since March 1969. The small plays have put no water over the overflow this spring – Steamboat looks very much like it did in 1961 before the big eruptions started. It may be going into a long inactive period as it has in the past. Pink and yellow algae can be seen on the east side of the south vent. [NOTE no date in Thermal Record – EOM] |
