Note:- no date or times noted - Steamboat has been very active all summer. The interval varies from 2 to 5 minutes and the duration from 1 to 3 minutes. Height is highly variable, ranging from 10 to 50 feet with the higher jets from the west vent. It is thought that some relationship exists between the activity of Steamboat and some of the features in the Porcelain Basin; notably the large Colloidal Pool. When Colloidal is gray and active, Steamboat is less active; when Colloidal is less active, Steamboat picks up.
