| Note: | The orange spring north of Thumb Paint Pots sounds an awful lot like Dragon's Mouth Spring - booming from deep within the crater. Mud was sloshing up into view on August 4, 2024, but on this visit, only a couple of small splashes could be seen. The vents near it that opened up a few years back also are connected and send out sounds. Water levels in the neighboring spring still has grass growing in what water is left in the crater. Thumb Paint Pots also have lower water levels. |
