Note:05/11/1964 Within seconds after the long overflow of the pool it will play to varying heights. Mostly around 40-50 feet on major bursts. Some did get up to 70’ and even 100’ on rare occasions. Echinus is a typical fountain type geyser. The action migrates over to the middle of the pool before the eruption begins, and as arm of sinter is covered by rising water (West side) just seconds before play. No two eruptions are similar in heights of bursts or intensity. All seem to be constant in duration.
