Note: | 07/20/1968 Echinus – Unusual activity this morning. I arrived at Echinus 6:55 am. The basin was full and H2O running down the slope on the North Side and Northwest Side. Very little activity was noted in the center of the pool until 7:25 when Echinus did erupt. The eruption was about four minutes in duration but the height of H2O was a short 30’. The amount of H2O that went down the runway was tremendous. The basin did empty in the usual routine way and within three minutes. I am returning to Echinus and check the next eruption activity. It is 7:45 am. |
