| Note: | we arrived around 12:30 to find it in water phase. for the next 4 hours it continued to change from mixed water/ steam to water. some jets from North vent were easily 2 to 2 1/2 times the height of the trees when viewed from the upper platform. around 16:30 it had some bursting that made the crowd watching scream and cheer then by 16:47 it turned to steam. after about an hour (I didn't get exact time) it turned back to changing from water to mixed until we left at 8:00. cistern was slowly dropping and was 18 to 24 inches down with light boiling when we left. |
